Parent and family involvement contribute to the intimate atmosphere and overall success of the school activities. The Parent Guild provides leadership for these activities and oversees traditional fundraisers that enrich the curricular and co-curricular programs at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. Each family is required to volunteer 30 hours of service to the school, with 3 hours being specifically devoted to helping with our annual Auction and 2 hours being devoted to our Spring Carnival. There are many volunteer opportunities throughout the year and are often advertised in the principal's weekly newsletter.
Parents are responsible for reporting their own service hours via Gradelink. Use your Family Log In then click on the Service Hours tab to record. There are three volunteer reporting deadlines throughout the year. Unfufilled Auction and Spring Carnival hours will be billed after the first and third reporting deadlines. Your attention to this is appreciated to keep the administrative time and expense of sending reminders to a minimum.
